Servings: 10-12 as a snack
Ingredients
-
3 pounds smoked kielbasa sausage, cut into 1/2-inch circles
-
2 cups grape jelly
-
2 cups BBQ sauce (pick your fave, like smoky hickory)

Slow Cooker Kielbasa Bites: Directions
-
Cut the kielbasa into thick 1/2-inch circles. Put them flat in a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker.
-
Drop spoonfuls of grape jelly on top of the sausage. Spread it around a little so it’s mostly even.
-
Pour the BBQ sauce over the jelly and sausage. Don’t mix yet—leave it on top.
-
Put the lid on. Cook it on LOW flame for 3 to 4 hrs or HIGH heat for 1.5 to 2 hrs. Wait till jelly melts into smooth sauce and sausage is hot and soft.
-
Stir it all up good so the sauce covers every piece shiny and thick.
-
Set slow cooker to WARM. Add toothpicks and let folks grab bites right from it. Stir now and then to keep sauce even.
Fun Changes & Tips
Try spicy BBQ sauce or add hot sauce for kick. Use less jelly (1.5 cups) and a splash of vinegar for less sweet. Add pineapple chunks at the end for more food. Mix in cooked meatballs for variety. Serve over rice or noodles for dinner. Leftovers last 4 days in fridge—reheat with a bit of water.
