Ingredients
- 6 boneless chicken thighs
- 4 tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tbsp tomato purée
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp cornflour mixed with 2 tbsp water
- Spring onions and sesame seeds, to serve
Honey Garlic Chicken: Instructions

Put the chicken thighs in the slow cooker in a single layer on the bottom.

In a bowl, stir the honey, soy sauce, crushed garlic, tomato purée, rice vinegar, and grated ginger until smooth.

Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken thighs.

Turn each piece of chicken gently so every side gets coated in sauce.

Put the slow cooker lid on and cook on low for about 6 hours, until the chicken is very soft and pulls apart easily.

Carefully lift the cooked chicken out and place it on a plate.

Stir the cornflour with 2 tablespoons of water until it becomes smooth.

Stir this paste into the leftover sauce in the slow cooker to make the sauce thicker.

Put the chicken back into the thickened sauce.

Use two forks to shred the chicken a little and mix it into the sauce.

Add chopped green onions and sesame seeds over the top before serving.
