Slow Cooker Sirloin Tip Roast 5-Ingredient. Do you ever want a yummy dinner but do not have a lot of time to cook? That is where this easy beef roast comes in! I love making this on Sundays when my week gets really busy. The best part? You only need five things from your kitchen. You just put the beef in the slow cooker, add a few simple things on top, and walk away. That is it! When dinner time comes, the meat is so soft it falls apart, and your whole house smells like a cozy restaurant. Everyone will think you worked super hard all day — but your slow cooker did almost everything!
Servings: 6–8 people
What You Need
- Big beef sirloin tip roast (about 3 to 4 pounds),
- Small packet of dry onion soup mix (1 oz)
- Low-sodium beef broth → 1 cup
- Worcestershire sauce → 2 tablespoons
- Garlic powder → 1 teaspoon
How To Make Slow Cooker Sirloin Tip Roast
- Put the raw beef roast right in the bottom of your slow cooker. Place it with the fatty side facing up. It should sit nice and snug in the middle, just like a big cozy pot roast.
- Open your onion soup mix packet and sprinkle it all over the top and sides of the meat. Press it down a little with your fingers so it sticks to the beef and does not fall off.
- Grab a small bowl or a measuring cup. Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Stir everything together until the garlic powder mixes in well.
- Gently pour the liquid around the sides of the roast and a little on top. Try not to wash off the soup mix you just put on. Be gentle!
- Put the lid on your slow cooker. Now you have two choices:
- Cook it on low heat for 8 to 10 hours.
- Cook it on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours
Either way works, but cooking it low and slow makes the meat extra soft and full of flavor.
- When the beef is done, it should be very tender. You can poke it with a fork and it will pull apart easily. Carefully take the roast out and place it on a cutting board. Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
- Now slice the meat by cutting across the lines you see in it (this is called cutting against the grain). Or, use two forks to pull the meat apart into smaller pieces. Both ways taste great!
- Look at the liquid left in the slow cooker. If you see a lot of fat floating on top, use a big spoon to scoop it off and throw it away.
- Put your sliced or pulled beef back into the slow cooker. Stir it gently so it soaks up all those yummy juices.
- Take a little taste. Does it need a tiny bit of salt or pepper? Add just a pinch if you think so. Then serve it warm right from the slow cooker. Spoon lots of that tasty juice over each plate. Enjoy! 🍽️
