Slow Cooker Bakewell Fudge: Instructions
- Line a small square or loaf tin with baking paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- Add the condensed milk, white chocolate, and butter to the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 1–1.5 hours, stirring every 20 minutes to help the chocolate melt evenly.
- Once the mixture is completely smooth and glossy, stir in the almond extract and a pinch of salt.
- Fold in most of the chopped glacé cherries, saving a few pieces for topping.
- Pour the fudge mixture into the lined tin, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Scatter the reserved cherry pieces over the top, pressing them in gently.
- Let the fudge cool at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- Transfer to the fridge and chill for at least 3–4 hours, or until fully set and firm.
- Once set, lift the fudge out of the tin using the baking paper overhang.
- Cut into small squares or bars using a sharp knife.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
