Slow Cooker Bakewell Fudge Recipe

This Slow Cooker Bakewell Fudge is a smooth, creamy white chocolate fudge studded with sweet glacé cherries, inspired by the classic Bakewell flavours. Made effortlessly in the slow cooker, it’s a simple no-fuss treat for gifting or snacking.

Ingredients

  • 397g (1 can) condensed milk
  • 300g (10.5 oz) white chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 50g (3½ tbsp) unsalted butter, cubed
  • 100g (½ cup) glacé cherries, chopped
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • Pinch of salt

Slow Cooker Bakewell Fudge: Instructions

  1. Line a small square or loaf tin with baking paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  2. Add the condensed milk, white chocolate, and butter to the slow cooker.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 1–1.5 hours, stirring every 20 minutes to help the chocolate melt evenly.
  4. Once the mixture is completely smooth and glossy, stir in the almond extract and a pinch of salt.
  5. Fold in most of the chopped glacé cherries, saving a few pieces for topping.
  6. Pour the fudge mixture into the lined tin, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  7. Scatter the reserved cherry pieces over the top, pressing them in gently.
  8. Let the fudge cool at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  9. Transfer to the fridge and chill for at least 3–4 hours, or until fully set and firm.
  10. Once set, lift the fudge out of the tin using the baking paper overhang.
  11. Cut into small squares or bars using a sharp knife.
  12. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.

This rich, creamy fudge with bursts of cherry is a lovely homemade gift or sweet treat — the slow cooker takes all the guesswork out of melting chocolate perfectly every time.
