CAJUN Chicken Alfredo Recipe. This Recipe made effortlessly in a slow cooker with tender chicken, smoky sausage, penne pasta, and parmesan cheese.

Olive oil → 1 tablespoon

Chicken breasts → 1 pound

Smoked sausage → 1 pound, cut into 1 inch round slices

Heavy cream → 3 cups

Low sodium chicken broth → 4 cups

Butter → 4 tablespoons

Coarse cajun seasoning → 2 tablespoons

Garlic cloves → 2, smashed

Uncooked penne pasta → 1 lb

Hot water → 1/2 cup

Freshly shredded parmesan cheese → 8 oz (approximately 2 1/2 cups)

Kosher salt and black pepper → to taste

Garlic powder → to taste
CAJUN Chicken Alfredo: Instructions

Dry and salt, pepper, and sprinkle of garlic powder to the chicken breasts of the patient. Heat olive oil in high heats and sear chicken breasts on high heat on both sides.

Put chicken breasts, sausage, heavy cream, chicken broth, butter, garlic cloves, 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt, cajun seasoning, and a few turns of freshly ground black pepper into slow cooker.

Bake at low or high temperature of about 4 hours or 2-3 hours respectively until the chicken is at 165 degrees.

Take chicken out of slow cooker and leave to cool and cut.

Add the 1/2 cup of hot water and uncooked penne pasta, cover, and cook on high approximately 30 minutes, just until pasta is tender.

After pasta is cooked, add parmesan cheese, sliced chicken, and more salt and black pepper to taste.
