Ritz Cracker Chicken Creamy: Directions
-
Spray the lining of your slow cooker with a nonstick cooking spray or spray it lightly with a drop of oil so that it is easier to clean.
-
Lay the uncooked chicken breasts in one layer in the bottom of the slow cooker. It is okay provided that they are overlapping slightly.
-
Cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and 1 cup of the crushed Ritz crackers in a medium bowl, stir thoroughly.
-
Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken breasts ensuring that it covers the whole chicken.
-
Evenly sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of crushed Ritz crackers to the top in order to make a crunchy, buttery crust.
-
Cook on LOW 4-6 hours or HIGH 2 1/2-3 1/2 hours until the chicken cooks through and a fork can easily shred the chicken. (Internal temperature to 165 deg F)
-
When it is done, with two forks, shred the chicken in the slow cooker then mix it up with the creamy sauce and leave some of the cracker topping on it, should you like some texture.
-
Serve warm over your preferred rice, mashed potatoes or noodles, taste and add salt and pepper as needed and serve.
