2 1/2 pounds beef stew meat or beef sirloin tips, cut into 1- to 1/ 1/2-inch pieces.

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

8 (1/2 cup) butter (unsalted) cut into pieces.

6 cloves minced garlic (or 2 tbs jarred minced garlic)
Garlic Butter Beef: Directions

Wipe the beef tips with paper towels to brown and then add the sauce rather than steam in the additional water.

Sprinkle the beef tips all evenly with the kosher salt and black pepper and combine them using your hands or a spoon to cover all sides.

Arrange the cooked beef tips in the base of a 4 to 6 quart slow cooker by spreading them evenly so that they cook evenly.

Sprinkle the minced garlic evenly on the top of beef and stuff a small amount down between the pieces so that the garlic flavor in the meat has penetrated throughout the beef as it cooks.

Scatter butter pieces on top of beef and garlic. When the slow cooker is heated the butter will melt and mix with the beef juices creating a slick Garlic butter sauce.

Cover the slow cooker with a lid and cook on LOW between 6 to 8 hours or until the beef becomes extremely tender and can very easily be torn into small pieces with a fork. The lid should not be opened frequently to allow the heat to escape and to allow the low and slow method to do its trick.

When the beef is tender, use a scraper to gently blend the meat and the sauce making sure to scrape the browned bits off the edges of the slow cooker so they are melted back into the sauce.

Season with more salt or pepper, if necessary. The beef tips can be served in hot glossy sauce of garlic butter and the sauce is to be poured over the top of the dish on top of your preferred potatoes, rice or noodles.
