Servings: 4

Ingredients
-
2 pounds of lowercase boneless, skinless chicken.
-
1 (14-ounce) jar jellied cranberry sauce.
-
1 (1-ounce) dry onion soup mix.
Cranberry Chicken: Directions
-
Lay raw chicken breasts in single layer in the bottom of a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker.
-
Crack open the can of jellied cranberry sauce and pour the entire can directly over the chicken breasts and spread it with a spoon so as to cover most of the chicken.
-
Evenly sprinkle the layer of cranberry sauce with the dry onion soup mix.
-
Place the lid on top and cook on LOW 4-6 hours or HIGH 2 1/2-3 1/2 hours or until the chicken is cooked and can be easily shredded with a fork.
-
When the chicken has cooked, carefully, in the slow cooker, shred or cut it in strips and then combine it into the cranberry-onion sauce to ensure that all is well covered.
-
Salt and make any necessary adjustments (the onion soup mix is already salty, hence you might not require the additional salt) and bring the chicken to the boil with a lot of sauce pouring all over the dish of your choice.
