Brown the Beef – Add the ground beef of lean weight, and diced onions to a large skillet in medium-high heat. Stir often, chopping beef into crumbles and cook till well browned and onions are soft.

Add Garlic – Add the minced garlic in the skillet and mix thoroughly. Continue cooking to another 2 minutes to free its aroma.

Add Rice and Broth – Add chicken broth and instant rice in the skillet. Stir gently with all the rice in the liquid.

Season – Add diced tomatoes, green chilies, salt, black pepper and onion powder. Combinations Seasonings should be mixed thoroughly to evenly distribute them.

Simmers – Place a lid over the skillet and cook on medium heat until rice is cooked through and all the liquid has been absorbed, about 12 minutes.
