Honey Bold BBQ Chicken Rice. An easy fast dinner prepared in a single pan. It contains chicken that is tender, sweet BBQ sauce made of honey and rice and vegetables.
Ingredients

1 pound chicken thighs or chicken breasts (Boneless and Skinless)

1 cup long-grain rice

2 cups chicken broth

1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your choice)

1/4 cup honey

1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp onion powder
-
1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup of frozen or fresh combination of mixed vegetables

Green onions or parsley (served as a garnish, chopped, optional)
Honey Bold BBQ Chicken Rice: Directions

Heat the chicken in a pan using much amount of water on medium heat. Add spices: garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Roast the chicken on 5–6 sides, about 5–6 minutes per side.

Prepare a bowl with the honey and BBQ sauce. Pour over the seared chicken.

Pour in the rice and chicken broth into the pan. Stir and bring to a boil.

Turn the heat to low, cover, and simmer 18–20 minutes or until the chicken and rice are cooked.

During the last 5 minutes, place the mixed vegetables on top without stirring, then cover again.

Fluff rice, cook briefly, and serve hot. Chop green onion or parsley and use as a garnish.
